A River of Books

  • Installation of 2,000 books with edges painted blue

  • Cedarvale Ravine, Toronto, 2000

Robin Pacific invited 90 children in summer Parks and Recreation programs to her studio, to paint the edges of the pages of 2,000 books blue. The books were then installed in the ravine, making a line 300 metres long. The "river of books" followed the course of the buried Nordheimer Creek, a tributary to the Don River.
